Daegu's Duryu district takes its name from the sprawling Duryu Park, one of the largest urban green spaces in this inland metropolitan city — and it's within that park-adjacent fabric of the city that this driving range and practice facility operates. Daegu sits in a basin surrounded by low mountains, giving it some of the most extreme seasonal temperatures in South Korea: scorching summers and biting winters that define when and how local golfers train. For serious players in the city, a reliable year-round practice venue is less a luxury than a necessity.
두류골프연습장 (Duryu Golf Practice Center) is a range facility rather than a full course, serving the dense residential and commercial neighborhoods of western Daegu. This kind of urban practice center is the backbone of Korean golf culture — where beginners take their first lessons, where competitive amateurs sharpen ball-striking between weekend rounds, and where working golfers steal an hour after office hours under floodlights.
Daegu has a proud golf community, with full courses accessible in the surrounding Gyeongsang region. But for daily repetition and skill-building, a well-situated urban range like this one is where most of the real work gets done.
