沙河高尔夫球会 (Sha He Golf Club) is one of Shenzhen's pioneering private golf institutions, established during the city's remarkable economic transformation in the 1990s when the Pearl River Delta was rapidly remaking itself as one of the world's most dynamic urban regions. The club sits in the Sha He area of Shenzhen, where the course weaves through terrain shaped by subtropical hills and the kind of lush, year-round greenery that southern Guangdong's warm, humid climate produces so reliably. It has long served the city's business community and international residents, occupying a social role that mirrors golf's function across much of modern urban China — part sporting venue, part relationship-building arena.
Shenzhen's golf scene is notably dense for a city of its age, and Sha He holds a respected position within it as an established members' club rather than a transient resort stop. The layout works with the natural contours of the landscape, offering a more intimate, tree-lined character than the sprawling resort courses further out in Guangdong province.
For visitors, the club delivers a distinctly southern Chinese golf experience — subtropical air, mature vegetation, and the particular atmosphere of a place where serious members have been playing regular weekend rounds for decades.
