Few English counties feel as removed from the modern rush as Herefordshire — a landscape of rolling farmland, ancient orchards, and the broad meanders of the River Wye threading through market towns that seem barely changed in centuries. Ross-on-Wye sits at the southern edge of that county, just where the river begins its dramatic push through the limestone gorges toward the Welsh border, and the golf course here reflects that unhurried, pastoral character entirely.
