Knock Golf Club has been a fixture of east Belfast's golfing landscape for well over a century, founded in the 1890s in the leafy suburb of Knock before its eventual home in neighbouring Dundonald. The club's course was designed with the rolling, parkland character that defines this corner of County Down, and it has earned a quiet but enduring reputation as one of the more respected members' clubs on the outskirts of the city. Dundonald sits just a few miles east of Belfast city centre, where the urban edge gives way to the gentle hills of County Down. The Castlereagh Hills form a backdrop to the course, and the parkland setting means mature trees line many of the holes, bringing a sense of seclusion that belies how close the course sits to a major city.
