The Northern Mariana Islands sit in the western Pacific, roughly 1,500 miles east of the Philippines and just north of Guam, and playing golf here means doing so against one of the more dramatic backdrops in the sport — volcanic terrain, trade winds off the Philippine Sea, and tropical vegetation that can feel almost theatrical in its density.
