Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club carries a meaningful place in Florida golf history. The Largo layout once hosted the LPGA's JCPenney Classic, a mixed-team event that brought some of the tour's biggest names through Pinellas County during the tournament's long run in the Tampa Bay area. That kind of pedigree sets Bardmoor apart from the typical private club — this is a course that has been tested at a professional level, on national television, in front of galleries.
Largo sits in the heart of Pinellas County, the narrow peninsula wedged between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The terrain is characteristically flat, the vegetation a mix of mature Florida pines, palms, and the water features that define so much of the state's inland golf. The climate means year-round play, but winters here draw serious golfers looking to escape the north, and the membership reflects that culture.
