Aliante Golf Club occupies a stretch of the Mojave Desert in North Las Vegas, a master-planned community that rose quickly from the valley floor in the early 2000s. The course was designed by Gary Panks and David Graham — the latter a former U.S. Open and PGA Championship winner who brought genuine playing experience to the routing — and opened in 2001 as the centerpiece of the Aliante development. It plays through a landscape of desert washes, native scrub, and the kind of wide-open Nevada sky that makes distances deceptive and wind a constant variable.
The design leans into its surroundings rather than fighting them: sandy waste areas, rocky outcroppings, and desert vegetation frame most holes, rewarding players who keep the ball in play and penalizing those who don't. Water comes into play on several holes, a deliberate contrast to the arid terrain around it.
For North Las Vegas residents, Aliante functions as a genuine community course — less flashy than the Strip-adjacent resort properties, but well-maintained and consistently popular among locals who want quality desert golf without the casino-resort premium.
