Golf des Abers

Few corners of France sit as far west as Plouarzel — a commune in Finistère whose name literally means "land's end" in Breton, and whose Atlantic coastline defines the mood of everything here. Golf des Abers takes its name from the abers, the distinctive ria-like sea inlets carved into this stretch of the Breton coast by millennia of tidal action. Playing here means playing inside that landscape: ocean wind, heathland turf, and a sky that changes fast.

The course occupies terrain typical of the Pays des Abers — low, open ground where gorse and rough grasses dominate and shelter is scarce.
