Few golf experiences in the country are quite like Tour 18 Dallas — a course built entirely around the concept of imitation. Each hole is a faithful replica of a famous hole from America's most celebrated courses, letting everyday golfers play versions of Augusta National's Amen Corner, Harbour Town's lighthouse par-3, Sawgrass's island green 17th, and other iconic tests without a tour card or a private club membership. The concept is unapologetically theme-park in spirit, but the execution is serious enough that Golf Digest has ranked it among the more entertaining public-access rounds in Texas.
Flower Mound sits in the suburban sprawl north of Dallas-Fort Worth, where the landscape is gently rolling Cross Timbers terrain — hardly the dramatic settings the original holes inhabit — yet the design team worked hard to import the character of each borrowed hole through mounding, water placement, and detailed bunkering.
For visiting golfers or locals looking for something beyond a standard round, Tour 18 delivers genuine novelty. It rewards players who already know the originals, making every tee shot carry the weight of recognition.
