스카이72 Golf Club sits on one of the more unusual pieces of ground in Asian golf — reclaimed land on the tidal flats adjacent to Incheon International Airport, with planes descending overhead and the Yellow Sea visible on the horizon. The complex originally comprised 4 courses (Ocean, Lake, Classic, and Sky), and the Ocean course in particular earned a strong regional reputation as a genuine championship layout capable of hosting professional events. The LPGA Tour's KEB Hana Bank Championship was held at Sky72 for a number of years, drawing the world's top women professionals to this flat, wind-exposed terrain where scoring could swing dramatically depending on conditions rolling in off the water.

The Bada (Ocean) course — specifically the section now designated as the construction site for Incheon Airport's planned 5th runway — represents an unusual intersection of golf and infrastructure.
