Few Scottish courses arrive with quite the theatrical backdrop that Rowallan Castle provides. The layout occupies the estate grounds surrounding Rowallan Castle, a striking 16th-century tower house near Kilmaurs in East Ayrshire, and that ancient stone presence gives the round a sense of occasion from the first tee.
