Westerham Golf Club

Few English counties have produced as many well-regarded parkland and heathland layouts as Kent, and Westerham Golf Club sits in one of the county's most characterful corners. The town of Westerham itself carries real historical weight — it's the birthplace of General James Wolfe and Winston Churchill's adopted home at Chartwell is nearby — and the North Downs landscape that surrounds the course gives it the kind of rolling, wooded topography that English golf does particularly well.

The club occupies land where the Kentish countryside begins to fold and climb toward the Downs escarpment, meaning golfers can expect genuine elevation change, mature tree lines, and the sort of turf conditions that come with well-drained chalk and greensand soils.
