Old Hickory Country Club takes its name from the town that shares its identity with one of American history's most forceful personalities — Andrew Jackson, the seventh president, whose Hermitage estate sits just a few miles away. Old Hickory itself was built as a company town by DuPont in the early 1920s to house workers from its munitions and textile operations, and that working-community DNA has long shaped the social fabric of the club that grew alongside it.

The course sits in Middle Tennessee, where the Cumberland River defines the landscape and the seasons swing from humid, testing summers to mild winters that keep golf playable much of the year. Bentgrass greens and Bermuda fairways are the regional standard, and the rolling terrain east of Nashville tends to reward shot-shaping and local knowledge over raw power.
