Makaha Valley Country Club

Few places in Hawaiian golf carry quite the dramatic backdrop that Makaha Valley does. The course occupies a deep inland valley on Oahu's Leeward Coast, framed by the ancient, eroded ridgelines of the Waianae Range — some of the oldest exposed rock in the Hawaiian Islands. This is emphatically not the resort-corridor Oahu most visitors see. The Leeward side runs drier and sunnier than the windward coast, with a raw, rugged beauty that feels a world removed from Waikiki.
