Moberly Lake Golf Club sits in the Peace River Country of northeastern British Columbia, a part of the province that most visiting golfers never reach — which is precisely what makes it worth knowing about. The landscape here is dramatically different from the mountain resort corridors of the Rockies to the south: wide open, heavily forested, and defined by the glacially carved Moberly Lake itself, one of the warmest lakes in BC and a focal point of this rural community.
A par 74 suggests a layout that leans on par 5s or supplemental par 3s to build its character, and in a setting this remote, the course almost certainly plays against a backdrop of boreal forest and the kind of quiet you simply don't find at destination resorts. This is golf stripped of pretension — a community course serving a small, scattered population where the game is a genuine local tradition rather than a tourist amenity.
Northeastern BC has a short but intense golf season, with long summer days that give players exceptional evening light well into the night.
