Roslagens Golfklubb sits in the heart of Roslagen, the historic coastal district north of Stockholm that stretches along the Uppland archipelago toward the Baltic. Norrtälje is the gateway town to this landscape of granite skerries, dense pine forest, and sheltered inlets — terrain that gives the course a genuinely Nordic character, with holes threading through woodland and occasional glimpses of the surrounding countryside. The club has served as the local golfing home for this part of the Stockholm County fringe since the late 20th century, drawing a loyal membership from both the town itself and the many Stockholmers who keep summer cottages along this stretch of coastline.
The layout makes full use of the natural topography, with elevation changes and mature trees demanding shape and course management rather than raw power. Fairways tighten where the forest closes in, and the greens reward players who think carefully about position off the tee.
For visitors, the club offers a welcoming alternative to the busier courses closer to the capital. The Roslagen region is genuinely beautiful in summer, and playing here feels unhurried — closer in spirit to the Swedish countryside than to the city just an hour south.
