Few settings in Scandinavian golf carry the weight of Falsterbo's narrow peninsula, where the Baltic and the Öresund converge at Sweden's southwestern tip. Flommens GK shares this remarkable strip of land with its neighbor, Falsterbo GK, making the headland one of the most golf-saturated stretches of coastline in northern Europe. Flommens was founded in 1935 and occupies the inner, more sheltered portions of the peninsula, though "sheltered" is a relative term when Baltic winds sweep across the flat, open terrain with nothing to slow them down.
The course moves through a landscape of low dunes, reed beds, and wetland edges that define this part of Skåne — a links-like environment that rewards creativity and punishes careless club selection. Wildlife is abundant here; the Falsterbo peninsula is one of Europe's premier bird migration corridors, and rounds frequently come with a natural spectacle overhead.
Flommens is a members' club with genuine local character, drawing golfers from Malmö and the wider Skåne region who know that conditions here can transform a straightforward card into something far more demanding.
