Puntiro has been part of Mallorca's golfing fabric since the 1970s, occupying a stretch of undulating inland terrain a short drive northeast of Palma. The course sits within a working agricultural landscape of ancient olive groves and almond trees, giving it a distinctly rural, unhurried character that stands apart from the more manicured resort courses along the island's coastline. It plays across rolling hills with views toward the Tramuntana mountains, and the Mediterranean light and dry island air make even an ordinary Tuesday round feel like something worth remembering.
As a compact, accessible layout, Puntiro has long served as the workhorse of Palma's local golf scene — the course where residents keep their games sharp year-round rather than a destination designed to impress visiting tourists. The terrain naturally creates variety and elevation change without demanding heroics, and the conditions underfoot tend to reflect Mallorca's semi-arid climate: firm, fast, and honest.
The island has no shortage of grander, more celebrated venues, but Puntiro offers something those courses rarely do — a genuine sense of belonging to its place rather than being imposed upon it.
