Few clubs on Florida's Treasure Coast carry the sense of deep-rooted membership culture that Riomar does. Perched along the barrier island that gives Vero Beach much of its quiet, old-money character, Riomar Country Club has been a fixture of this community for over a century, making it one of the older private clubs in the state. The course sits on land shaped by the Atlantic coast — compact, intimate, and rooted in a time when golf was designed around the land available rather than the land cleared.
A par 70 signals that this is not a course built to impress with brute length. Riomar plays with a finesse-first philosophy — shorter holes demanding precision, creativity around the greens, and the kind of course management that reveals itself gradually over many rounds. It rewards members who have grown to know it deeply.
Vero Beach itself is one of Florida's more understated coastal towns, deliberately low-rise and protective of its character. Playing Riomar feels consistent with that sensibility — unhurried, refined, and shaped by genuine belonging rather than resort spectacle.
