Garrettsville sits in the northeastern corner of Ohio, deep in the Portage County lake district where the Western Reserve's rolling hardwood terrain defines just about everything — the seasons, the scenery, and, in this case, the golf. The name Sugar Bush speaks directly to the land: maple groves that flame into color each autumn make this corner of the state genuinely spectacular from late September through October, and a round here during peak foliage is a different experience than the same course in July.
