Few golf courses can claim both a Pete Dye and an Ault, Clark & Associates pedigree, but Virginia National carries exactly that kind of architectural weight. Opened in 2001, the course was shaped by Dye's design firm — bearing all the hallmarks he made famous: forced carries, dramatic elevation changes, and greens complexes that reward precision over brute force. The layout moves across the Bull Run Mountain foothills in western Loudoun County, where the terrain does most of the talking.
