Few Michigan courses come with a name as memorable as Pohlcat, and the backstory matches. The course was developed by Dan Pohl, the Mount Pleasant native who competed at the highest levels of the PGA Tour during the 1980s — including a playoff loss at the 1982 Masters. Opened in 1992 and designed with serious playability in mind, Pohlcat gives the area a layout with genuine Tour pedigree behind it, not just in name.
