Few courses in Southeast Asia carry the reputation of Thai Country Club. Designed by Denis Griffiths and opened in 1996, it quickly established itself as Thailand's premier private layout and has consistently ranked among the finest courses on the continent. Its most celebrated moment came in 1997 when it hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic, won by Tiger Woods in just his first full professional season — a result that announced both player and course to the world stage.

The course sits in Chachoengsao Province, roughly 50 kilometers east of Bangkok, where the land opens into a lush river-plain landscape fed by the Bang Pakong River. Griffiths worked with generous elevation changes unusual for this part of Thailand, shaping a parkland layout of real drama: deep bunkering, undulating fairways, and greens that demand precise approach play. The finishing stretch is particularly demanding and widely considered among the toughest closing holes in Thai golf.
