Noord-Brabantsche Golfclub Toxandria

Few golf clubs in the Netherlands carry the historical weight of Toxandria. Founded in 1928, it ranks among the oldest golf clubs in the country and takes its name from the ancient Roman designation for the region — Toxandria was the Latin name for this part of the Low Countries, a nod to a landscape that has been inhabited and shaped for millennia. The club sits in the Brabant heathland near Molenschot, and the course reflects that setting honestly: heather, sandy soil, pines, and the kind of open, windswept terrain that gives Dutch heathland golf its quiet severity.

The course plays through a nature reserve, which keeps the surroundings genuinely wild and limits the sense of any manufactured drama — the landscape does the work.
