Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton sits in the heart of Porter County, one of northwest Indiana's most golf-rich corridors, where the landscape transitions from the Indiana Dunes shoreline to the flat, wetland-threaded terrain of the Calumet region. The Marsh/Lake combination is 1 of several 18-hole configurations available at Sand Creek, built by rotating through the club's multiple nine-hole loops — a setup common at facilities that serve a broad, active membership while managing tee-time volume across busy seasons.
The Marsh and Lake nines each take their names from the natural features that shape them, and in this part of Indiana those aren't decorative labels. Northwest Indiana's glacially formed landscape is genuinely defined by wetland corridors, prairie pockets, and small lakes, and courses built here tend to reward accurate ball-striking over raw distance.
