Mesquite sits in the far northeastern corner of Nevada, where the Virgin River cuts through red-rock canyon country at the edge of the Mojave Desert — and it has quietly built a reputation as one of the Southwest's more underrated golf destinations. The town is close enough to St. George, Utah, and its world-class courses to attract serious golfers passing through, but Mesquite's own layouts hold their own, offering dramatic high-desert terrain at a fraction of the price of more heavily marketed golf corridors.
Falcon Ridge occupies the kind of landscape that does a lot of the design work for you — rugged, sun-baked terrain with natural elevation changes and the angular beauty of the surrounding desert hills.
