Mora GK sits in the heart of Dalarna, the province Swedes often call the soul of the country — a landscape of dark pine forests, mirrored lakes, and the winding Dalälven river. The club's main 18-hole course has an established reputation in the Swedish golf scene, but this shorter layout offers a more compact experience on the same grounds, well suited to beginners, families, or anyone wanting a quicker round in a genuinely beautiful setting.
Korthålsbanor — Sweden's short-course format — tend to reward creativity and touch over power, and Mora's version reflects the wooded, rolling terrain that characterizes this part of central Sweden. Expect tight lines through the trees rather than wide-open fairways, and greens that demand precision rather than distance. It plays quickly but not trivially.
Mora itself is best known as the finish line of the Vasaloppet, the world's oldest and longest cross-country ski race, which gives the town an enduring athletic identity. That same landscape of forest and frozen water that defines the race shapes what you see from every hole here.
