Golfvereniging Reymerswael takes its name from a ghost — the medieval town of Reimerswaal that was swallowed by the Zeeland floods of the 16th century, its ruins still lying beneath the waters of the Oosterschelde estuary nearby. Playing here means playing on land that was itself once underwater, reclaimed from the sea through centuries of Dutch engineering, and that history gives the course a character you feel before you even swing a club.
