Few courses in central Europe can claim a setting quite like this one. Bodensee-Weissensberg sits in the far southwest corner of Baden-Württemberg, where the land rolls down toward Lake Constance — the Bodensee — one of the largest freshwater lakes in Europe and a body of water shared by Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. On a clear day the Alps rise sharply across the water to the south, and that panorama is very much part of the experience here.
The terrain in this part of the Allgäu foothills is naturally undulating, and the course works with slopes and elevation changes that keep the routing interesting from start to finish. The non-standard par of 71 hints at a layout that prioritizes variety over convention, likely mixing longer par 4s with a shorter overall card rather than padding yardage for its own sake.
The Bodensee region draws visitors throughout the warmer months for its mild microclimate — one of the warmest and sunniest corners of Germany — its orchards and vineyards, and its lakeside towns. Golf here carries that same unhurried, scenic character.
