Golf de Montgriffon

Few courses in the Île-de-France region can claim a setting quite like Montgriffon's. The course occupies the grounds of the Château de Montgriffon, a 19th-century estate in the Oise valley north of Paris, and the architecture of the layout — designed by Yves Bureau and opened in the early 1980s — takes full advantage of the mature parkland, with centuries-old trees framing fairways and the château itself visible from several parts of the round. It earned a reputation as one of the more elegant private clubs within reach of the capital, drawing a discreet membership from the Paris professional and business world.

Luzarches sits roughly 30 kilometers north of Paris, in a stretch of gentle countryside where the Île-de-France begins to soften into the Oise département. The terrain is classic French parkland — rolling but never punishing, with enough natural contour to give the routing variety without resorting to artifice.

Montgriffon plays as a proper members' club: unhurried, well-maintained, and rooted in a specific sense of place that resort courses rarely replicate. Visitors who do get access tend to find it a more intimate and atmospheric round than the region's better-known layouts.
