Yerba Buena sits at the foot of the Yungas — the lush, cloud-draped transition forest that tumbles down from the Andes into the subtropical lowlands of Tucumán province. It's one of the more dramatic ecological edges in South America, where the dry Argentine interior meets a wall of green mountains thick with ceibo trees, ferns, and the sounds of birds that don't exist anywhere else on the continent. Golf in this corner of northwestern Argentina carries a particular character: unhurried, rooted in the local club culture that has long been central to Tucumán's social fabric.
Country Y Golf Las Yungas takes its name directly from that surrounding landscape, and at par 70 the course leans toward precision over pure power — a layout that rewards placement and course management rather than simply overpowering the card.
Tucumán is sometimes called the Garden of the Republic, and the lush fairways here reflect that reputation. For visiting golfers, the main attraction may be as much the setting — those Andean foothills rising dramatically to the west — as the round itself.
