ASC Golf Course

Bengaluru's military heritage runs deep, and the ASC Golf Course — operated by the Army Service Corps — belongs to that tradition. Laid out within the cantonment zone that has shaped this part of the city for well over a century, the course offers a slice of old India that the tech-boom city increasingly swallows around its edges. Mature trees, wide fairways, and the unhurried pace of a service institution define the atmosphere here. Bengaluru sits on the Deccan Plateau at roughly 900 metres elevation, which softens the heat that punishes lower-lying South Indian cities and keeps the course playable through most of the year. The surrounding cantonment greenery adds to the sense of enclosure and calm.

Access is generally restricted to military personnel and their guests, so the course retains a members'-mess character — competitive but convivial, with institutional loyalty running as a quiet current through every Saturday medal round.
