Few college golf facilities in the country carry the prestige of Blessings Golf Club. Built through a landmark gift from Walmart heir John Tyson and his wife, Scottie, the course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 2009 as the home of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks golf programs. It has consistently ranked among the premier on-campus collegiate facilities in the nation, and the SEC and NCAA have taken notice — Blessings has hosted conference championships and NCAA Regional competition, putting it on the national stage despite its membership remaining tightly tied to the university.
The layout stretches across the rolling Ozark foothills just outside Fayetteville, a college town with an outsized sports culture anchored by the Arkansas Razorbacks. The terrain gives Jones something to work with: elevation changes, wooded corridors, and the kind of natural contour that keeps a routing interesting from the first tee to the last green.
The par of 73 is a small but telling detail — an extra par 5 worked into the card signals length and a certain generosity of design, giving the course a rhythm that rewards power and patience in equal measure.
