Chascomús sits about 120 kilometers south of Buenos Aires on the edge of the Pampas, where the flatlands open up around a chain of shallow lagoons — most famously Laguna Chascomús itself. It's a landscape defined by big skies, persistent wind, and a particular quality of light that makes the horizon feel further away than it actually is.
