Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club sits in Hendersonville, a city on the northern shore of Old Hickory Lake roughly 20 miles northeast of Nashville. The dual "Yacht & Country Club" identity is a genuine reflection of the community — Old Hickory Lake, formed when the Cumberland River was dammed in the 1950s, became a center of boating and waterfront living, and the club grew up alongside that culture.
