Few courses in Atlantic Canada carry the reputation Glen Arbour does. Opened in 1999 and designed by Graham Cooke, it quickly established itself as one of Nova Scotia's premier public-access layouts, earning consistent recognition among Canada's top courses. Cooke routed the design through a forested property in Hammonds Plains, using the mature hardwood and softwood stands not merely as backdrop but as the defining structural element of virtually every hole. The result is a course that demands accuracy off the tee as much as distance — stray from the short grass and the trees exact a real penalty.
Hammonds Plains sits roughly 20 minutes northwest of Halifax, putting Glen Arbour within easy reach of the city while feeling genuinely removed from it.
