Golf de la Rosière

High in the French Alps above the Tarentaise Valley, Golf de la Rosière sits at serious elevation, making it one of the higher-altitude courses in the Alps and giving every round a genuinely spectacular backdrop of peaks and glaciers. The course is part of La Rosière ski station, a compact resort village perched above Bourg-Saint-Maurice, and that mountain resort DNA shapes the whole experience — the season is short, roughly June through September, and the terrain is emphatically not flat. Fairways follow the natural pitch and roll of alpine pastureland, and the thin air at altitude means the ball flies noticeably further than you'd expect.

This is an executive-length layout rather than a full championship test, designed for resort guests and local ski-season regulars who want to play golf with scenery that most courses simply cannot match. The Italian border sits just over the ridge, and on clear days Mont Blanc dominates the horizon.
