Sebring sits at the heart of the Florida Highlands, an inland stretch of central Florida that most visitors speed past on their way to the coasts. That's their loss. This is old Florida — scrub oak, slash pine, and natural lakes rather than manufactured resort scenery — and the Country Club of Sebring has been part of the community fabric here for generations, a members' institution in a town that takes its sporting heritage seriously.
Sebring is best known internationally for its 12 Hours endurance race, one of the oldest in motorsport, but the golf club occupies its own quieter corner of that identity: a place where local families have played and socialized for decades, the kind of course that rewards regulars who learn its rhythms and subtleties over time.
The par-71 layout is a modest departure from the standard 72, typically signaling an asymmetric set of par-3s or par-5s that gives the card its own personality. Expect classic Florida inland conditions — generous fairways framed by pines, water in play on several holes, and the flat but breezy terrain that defines golf in the Highlands.
