Kenwick Park sits within the grounds of a Victorian country estate on the edge of Louth, one of Lincolnshire's most handsome market towns. The course occupies genuinely varied parkland — mature specimen trees, open meadow stretches, and the gentle undulations that characterise this part of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that rolls away to the west. It is a setting that offers considerably more visual interest than the flat fenland many associate with the county.
The layout is a full 18-hole parkland test, and the par of 71 hints at a design that leans on accuracy and course management rather than simply rewarding length. Tight tree-lined corridors and the natural contours of the estate ground reward players who think their way around rather than overpowering it.
Louth itself has a thriving local golf culture, and Kenwick Park serves as something of a flagship for the area — a members' club with the feel of a genuine destination. The hall and its surroundings give the whole experience an unhurried, traditional character that suits the Lincolnshire countryside well.
