Redland Bay Golf Club sits on the southern edge of Moreton Bay's hinterland, where Brisbane's suburban sprawl gives way to the market gardens, bushland, and coastal flatlands that define this corner of southeast Queensland. The area has a genuine small-town character that sets it apart from the city courses to the north — unhurried, unpretentious, and very much a community club in the best sense of the phrase.
The course itself reflects that personality: a members' layout built for regular play rather than spectacle, where local knowledge matters and the flat-to-gently-undulating terrain rewards course management over raw power. The subtropical climate means the turf plays firm and fast for much of the year, with summer humidity and the occasional afternoon storm adding a layer of unpredictability that regulars have long since learned to read.
For visiting golfers, Redland Bay offers something the resort and sandbelt-style courses don't — a genuine slice of Queensland club golf, where the game moves at its own pace and the 19th hole conversation is just as much a part of the day as the round itself.
