Cypress Ridge opened in the late 1990s as a public course designed to bring solid, accessible golf to the South County communities of San Luis Obispo. The layout works through open, gently contoured terrain with the coastal scrub and cypress windbreaks that give the course its name, offering clean sightlines and enough strategic movement to keep a range of handicaps engaged without feeling punishing.
As a daily-fee public course, Cypress Ridge carries the easygoing spirit of the Central Coast itself — approachable, well-maintained, and the kind of place where a weekday morning round feels genuinely unhurried.
