Les Ormes

Jersey's only 9-hole layout attached to a hotel and leisure complex, Les Ormes sits on the southwestern flank of the island where the land rolls down toward St. Brelade's Bay — one of the most photographed stretches of coastline in the Channel Islands. The course is part of a broader holiday village operated by the Jersey-based Lido di Jersey group, making it primarily a resort amenity rather than a destination track in its own right, and most rounds here are played by guests staying on site.

The terrain follows the natural contours of the hillside, which means genuine elevation changes and some fine views out over the bay and toward the French coast on clear days. The layout is short and approachable, designed with recreational golfers in mind, but the undulating ground keeps it honest and the Atlantic breezes that sweep inland from St. Ouen's Bay and the southern shores can add a layer of difficulty that flat numbers alone won't suggest.

St. Brelade is arguably the prettiest parish on an island that takes its coastal scenery seriously. Playing here is less about the golf pedigree and more about the setting — sunlit granite walls, hydrangea-lined lanes, and the particular quality of Channel Islands light that makes even a modest round feel like something worth remembering.
