Monte-Carlo Golf Club

Few golf courses in Europe carry the same romantic weight as Monte-Carlo Golf Club, which sits not on the Principality's famous harbor-front streets but high in the Maritime Alps above Monaco, perched on the Mont Agel plateau at around 1,100 meters elevation. The club dates to 1911, making it one of the oldest in France, and its mountain setting gives it a character entirely unlike the coastal resorts below — cool even in summer, frequently above the clouds, with panoramic views stretching across the Côte d'Azur to the Mediterranean and, on clear days, to Corsica.
