Laid out across the sand-belt country of Melbourne's southeastern suburbs, the Composite Course draws its 18 holes from the club's West and East layouts — the West designed by Alister MacKenzie in 1926, the East by Alex Russell shortly after — assembling the finest holes from both into a championship configuration used for elite competition.
