Tasik Puteri Golf & Country Club occupies a dramatically sculpted stretch of land in Rawang, a town in northern Selangor that sits at the foothills of the Titiwangsa Range — the mountainous spine running down the Malay Peninsula. The course takes its name from the lake features that define much of its layout, and water comes into play on a significant number of holes, demanding accuracy off the tee where many Malaysian parkland courses reward pure aggression. The surrounding hills and secondary jungle create a genuine sense of elevation change unusual for lowland Selangor, giving the course a more varied and visually dramatic character than courses closer to Kuala Lumpur.
As a private members' club, Tasik Puteri carries the unhurried, well-maintained atmosphere typical of Malaysia's better proprietary clubs — well-groomed fairways, attentive caddie service, and a clubhouse culture built around post-round meals that take the game seriously.
Rawang itself sits roughly 35 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, close enough to draw a steady membership from the capital's professional community while remaining genuinely removed from the city's density. The tropical climate means year-round play, with the northeast monsoon season between October and January bringing the heaviest rainfall.
