Söderåsens golfklubb takes its name from the Söderåsen ridge — one of the most dramatic natural features in Skåne, a long horst of ancient bedrock rising sharply above the surrounding agricultural plain. The club sits on the western flank of this ridge near the small village of Billesholm, meaning the course works through terrain that is genuinely varied and topographically interesting by Swedish standards: forested slopes, open meadows, and the kind of abrupt elevation changes that keep a round engaging from the first hole to the last.
Skåne is Sweden's southernmost province and by far its most golf-dense region, with a mild climate relative to the rest of the country and a long tradition of competitive club golf. The area around Söderåsen also doubles as a popular hiking and nature destination, and the course benefits from that same wooded, unspoiled character — mature beech and oak forest frames many holes, giving rounds here a sense of seclusion that belies the proximity to Helsingborg and the broader Malmö–Helsingborg corridor.
This is a members' club with a community feel typical of Swedish golf culture, where guests are welcomed but the atmosphere is rooted in local belonging rather than resort polish.
