Blackberry Oaks has been a fixture of the Fox Valley golf scene for decades, occupying a stretch of gently rolling terrain in Bristol, a small Kendall County community about 50 miles southwest of Chicago. The course takes its name from the native vegetation that characterizes much of this part of the Illinois River valley corridor — a landscape of oak savanna, creek bottoms, and open meadow that gives the layout a distinctly rural feel despite its proximity to the western suburbs.
As a public daily-fee course, Blackberry Oaks has long served as a genuine community track — accessible, unpretentious, and well-suited to the full range of players who make up the backbone of Chicago-area golf.
