La Cima is one of Colombia's most prestigious private golf clubs, set on the Bogotá savanna at roughly 2,600 meters above sea level in the municipality of La Calera, just east of the capital. The altitude is the first thing every visitor notices: the thin air sends the ball flying considerably farther than it would at sea level, demanding a complete recalibration of club selection and making distance a near-irrelevant number until you've played a round or two. The course occupies a dramatic landscape of rolling highland terrain, with the eastern cordillera of the Andes framing virtually every shot.
Designed to serve Bogotá's elite membership, La Cima carries the understated character of a classic private club — well-maintained, unhurried, and seriously competitive among its members. The cooling mountain climate means playing conditions are rarely oppressive, though afternoon mists rolling off the hills are a constant part of the atmosphere.
For visitors fortunate enough to secure access, La Cima offers a genuinely singular experience: Andean highland golf that no lowland course can replicate, where the scenery and the science of playing at altitude combine into something entirely its own.
