Hurlingham

Few golf clubs in Argentina carry the social and historical weight of Hurlingham Club, whose origins trace back to the British expatriate community that shaped so much of the Buenos Aires western suburbs in the late 19th century. The club — named for the London district — was founded in 1888 and became a cornerstone of Anglo-Argentine life, offering polo, cricket, tennis, and golf under one roof in a way that mirrored the great English country clubs its founders had left behind.

The golf course sits within the club's expansive grounds in the Partido de Hurlingham, roughly 20 kilometers west of central Buenos Aires along the old Ferrocarril Sarmiento railway corridor. The terrain is the flat, open pampa characteristic of Greater Buenos Aires, and the course is framed by mature trees that give it a parkland feel and provide the primary strategic challenge in the relative absence of significant elevation change.
