Bermuda Dunes Golf Club

The course was designed by Harry Rainville and opened in 1958, and it built its reputation largely through television: for decades it served as the Bob Hope Desert Classic's host venue, rotating alongside Tamarisk, Indian Wells, and La Quinta. That tournament — now the American Express — helped put Coachella Valley golf on the national map, and Bermuda Dunes was very much part of that story, hosting pros and celebrities alike across multiple rounds each January.

The desert setting means wide skies, firm fairways, and the kind of visibility that makes the game feel expansive. Wind off the valley floor is a constant variable, and the mountain backdrop gives even routine rounds a sense of occasion that purely manicured resort courses rarely match.
